CALLING ALL HOMECARE WORKERS – I AM KEEN TO HELP IMPROVE YOUR PAY AND CONDITIONS AT WORK.

I am trying to build a picture of the terms and conditions of local homecare workers so I can fight for you. Please complete the survey below. I will keep individual responses confidential unless you tell me to do otherwise.

Social care should be an esteemed profession, but too many care-workers are being treated unfairly by their employers, with some in the Bishop Auckland area reporting the practice of only being paid for 15 minute appointments and not their travel time or short gaps between visits – a practice which has been found to be unlawful.
