As a devoted wife, mother of four, and a nurse with 21 years of experience, I have dedicated my life to caring for others. Living in Bishop Auckland almost my entire life, I have seen the challenges our community faces, and it deeply concerns me. The sight of our town in its current state has inspired me to run for council, so I can be a voice for the underdog and work diligently to drive our community toward a brighter future.

In today’s NHS, nursing often feels like working in a third-world environment, which has honed my strength and determination—qualities that I believe will serve me well as your councillor. I am approachable, hardworking, and passionate about making a difference. I want to ensure that all families, including my own, can thrive in a vibrant and supportive community.

I envision a better future for Bishop Auckland, where our high street flourishes, bus services genuinely meet the needs of our residents, and our streets are safe and welcoming. I aim to collaborate closely with our local police and community wardens to tackle anti-social behaviour and restore a sense of security for everyone.

If elected, I will hold weekly surgeries, providing you with a platform to voice your thoughts and ideas.
