Parliamentary Candidate
SAM RUSHWORTH. Labour Party Parliamentary Candidate for Bishop Auckland Constituency
Electing Sam Rushworth as MP for Bishop Auckland is the most important decision we will make in nearly two decades.
Bishop Auckland is one of the hardest-to-win seats for Labour. Winning here will require a bigger national swing than in 1997 and will mean persuading several thousand people who voted Conservative in 2019 that we understand them, and that they can trust us. There is so much potential here. Getting selected or elected as the Labour MP, isn’t the job done.
This is about kick-starting a 20-year transformation project that will make Bishop Auckland an even greater place to live and raise a family, and for businesses to invest in the green jobs of the future. Whether home or abroad, I have seen how life can get better. My family did better under a Labour government. That is the message we need to get across in Bishop Auckland Constituency.
Building back people’s faith in politics after being let down by Dehenna Davison, Richard Holden and the Conservative Chaos of the last 13 years.
